Port Contractors & Consultants

The Port of Cascade Locks works with a dedicated network of contractors, consultants, and service providers to execute major infrastructure projects, support economic development initiatives, and maintain port operations, including the historic Bridge of the Gods. The following is a roster of skilled partners who help the Port achieve its strategic goals.

Dan Mahr, Mahr Strategies

Dan is our Government Relations Consultant and has been critical in forming and maintaining relationships with Oregon and Washington legislators, allowing the Port to keep our projects and goals present with regional decision makers. He previously advised Senator Merkley as his Senior Labor Advisor and Field Representative. He has been working with the Port since 2024.

Tommy Brooks, Cable Huston LLP

Tommy is the Port’s attorney and has been advising the Port since 2013. He is present at many
Port Commission meetings to provide clarity of law.

Scott Anderson, Radcomp

Scott is our go-to for IT Support and has a great understanding of all technology incorporated into the Port operations. He has been assisting the Port since 2012.

Matt Apken, Merina+Co

Matt is a Managing Consultant with Merina + Co that has been hired to provide support and accounting expertise to the Port.

Roy Rogers, Pauly Rogers

Roy is one of the managing partners of the accounting firm that Port has used for auditing. He has been working with the Port since 2016.

David Bledsoe, Pauly Rogers

David is the lead accountant that we’ve been currently working with from Pauly Rogers to audit the Port’s finances.

Darrin Eckman, AKS Engineering

Darrin has been our contracted engineer through Tenneson Engineering and has overseen the construction of Flex 5 and 6, the current Trailhead parking lot project and many other Port projects. He became our main engineer in 2019 but has worked on other projects since 2009.

David McCurry, Parsons Inc.

David has been a partner of the Port since 2021 and has a keen understanding of both the Bridge of the Gods and Port of Cascade Locks’ goals.

Dennis Snyder, Dennis V Snyder Jr. Contractors

Dennis is a local contractor that has been instrumental in many projects as well as our rock quarry tenant. The Port has been working with Dennis since at least 2007.

Jeff Jones, Jones Boys Electric and Construction

Jones Boys is an Oregon-based firm specializing in electrical work within the construction industry. They have built a strong local reputation for reliable and high-quality service.

Jim Andrews, JettyLight LLC

Jim, the owner of JettyLight, LLC, handles the operational management of the Sternwheeler Columbia Gorge on the behalf of the Port. His company ensures the vessel provides memorable cruises, manages the crew, and oversees maintenance, effectively acting as the daily stewards of this iconic Columbia River attraction.

Steve Caputo, JettyLight LLC

Steve, as the general manager of the Sternwheeler, is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the vessel, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for passengers. He manages the crew, coordinates logistics, and maintains the high standards of service that the Sternwheeler is known for.

Lauryl Nagode

Lauryl is our Campground Host. She ensures a pleasant experience for all visitors to our campground. Additionally, she is always ready to assist at the tollbooth, contributing to the smooth operation at the bridge.
